Retired Partner – EY, Lead Entrepreneur Advisory Services – Withum

Bernie currently serves as the Lead for Withum’s Entrepreneur Advisory Services which addresses the needs of owners of entities in all stages of their life cycle from start-up to mature, established businesses. His focus is ownership issues from succession planning, to strategic initiatives to transaction planning, including experience with IPO’s, investments by Financial Sponsors and ESOP’s. He has also worked extensively with incubators and accelerators.

Bernie served in several leadership roles including Office Managing Partner and Regional Director of EY’s Entrepreneurial Service Practice. He helped to establish the Entrepreneur of the Year Program. He also served as the NY Managing Partner of Tatum, the executive services firm and ran his own consulting business serving entrepreneurs. He is an active speaker and has authored a blog and articles on ownership issues.

Bernie has a BS in Accounting from NYU where he was a member of Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting Honors) and Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Honors.) He also attended the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth.
