Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.

The above has graced various Star Trek productions since the original show premiered in 1966. It summed up the wonder man possessed since first looking up at the stars. Though a fictional universe, the world of Star Trek celebrated humankind’s need and ability to explore the unknown. We seem to have DNA wired to consistently look for new things, ideas, and better ways of navigating life.
Previously, I talked about Messier 81, a galaxy 12 million light-years away, with a diameter of 90,000 light-years. Also named after its discoverer, Johann Elert Bode, Bode’s Galaxy struck a chord with me. I thought this vast structure of stars was an excellent comparison to explain the BoDE (Builders of a Digital Economy) philosophy and methodology for entrepreneurship.
The goals of BoDE allow people to achieve financial freedom so that they can pursue those things that can make a positive difference in the world. In a society where we still look to the stars for exploration, we know that there is still plenty to discover here on earth. I don’t mean deep under our oceans or some areas barely touched by civilization, though they hold secrets waiting for us to discover. I am talking about in all areas of people’s endeavors – technology, finance, government, art, and every other field of human endeavor, especially Internal Universe of Human Mind.
BoDE wants to be a catalyst for such exploration.
In The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century, Thomas L. Friedman uses the analogy of a flat earth to show that the differences in the world, at least in economics and commerce, are becoming less and less. It is a level playing field for all that want to participate, chiefly due to the emergence of technology. This phenomenon will extend to all aspects of humankind as people (hopefully) realize we have more similarities than differences.
Look back at the past 500 years or so. Columbus, Magellan, da Gama, and other early explorers had to go out into the unknown and take primitive vessels to travel the world. It took forever but look at the progress humankind has made. When people used to say the earth was flat, they were afraid that they were going to fall off the edge. With today’s symbolic flattening of the world, we are closer to taking an exponential step into more knowledge and insight than ever before.
BoDE is a methodology, philosophy, and vehicle to allow all of this to occur. As we have gone through the Coronavirus pandemic, “flattening the curve” has been the battle cry and signifies the lessening or defeat of the virus.
It is a good thing.
If COVID19 can be a catalyst for a United Humanity against an invisible & a sly foe, it could change the future of mankind. Covid19 will earn the medal of a worthy “Generational Event” which changed the course of mankind’s Direction. From being a “Discovered Species” to a “Discovering Species” in the near and far galaxies. Starting with BoDE Galaxy.
BoDE Galaxy has three (3) trillion stars larger in size than our Sun and even if we named each one for every citizen of our planet earth – we would still have plenty leftovers.
Covid19 is an early warning signal for things to come and only a United Humanity can take on any unknown threats of the likes of Covid19 or an Outer-Space advanced species. We have no choice but to unite against threats that might be lurking in the gaps and alley ways of humanities consciousness because Covid19 strikes without any discrimination of race, gender, nationality, or religion.
Likewise, contributing more to the flattening of the earth means we as people have more opportunity to bring about the life we want to live for ourselves, our children, and many future generations. BoDE will not only add to the earth’s flattening but allow anyone who participates to be part of the voyage. We honestly can “boldly go where no one has gone before.”
